Plover Field Office

Notes

Short records from recent walks. Dates follow the studio calendar, not a publishing schedule.

East spit after the spring tide

12 May

The outer bar moved north by roughly forty paces. Two new wrack lines, both full of eelgrass. The old marker post is now in water at mid-tide.

Harbor path in fog

28 April

Sound carried farther than sight. We mapped by bell and footfall, then checked the drawing against the stone wall when the fog lifted. Three extra turns had been invented.

Rain on the drying rack

9 March

A window latch failed overnight. Two charts took a pale stain in the lower left. We kept them. The stain reads like a second shoreline.
